Time to sell one of my Genesis 1200's. Comes with charger and all original paperwork and stand.
Just performed a run time of 31 hours at low speed.
$6000 or make me an offer. Best to email me as I am not on here often. ruff.chad@gmail.com
Out of curiosity and openness, do you mind disclosing how many of the four course directors you mention that are selling their rEvos work at or are affiliated with a dive shop(s) in the keys?
Lol. Your statement would get easier to get behind if you said "Peter makes the rules in South Florida"... His territory.
Peter has no control over other areas... Well, except to help ensure we have the parts necessary to maintain and dive the units.
If there are any budding instructors that want to develop rEvo in Hawaii, there is currently a HUGE vacuum out here.
I can't get an instructor out here quickly or often enough to meet all the inquiries I have on rEvo.
So they go with who is out here... Hollis.
While I don't agree with the rEvo instructor policy, I certainly understood it before I bought my rEvo.
In all honesty, when I purchased it, I also had no intention of becoming an instructor. Today, as mentioned above, it would probably weigh fairly heavy on my decision.
I've met...
I only knew Lynne through a few of the forums although many of the folks I used to stomp around the PNW with dove with her. I have much respect for her and Peter. If there is the tiniest bit of positive in any of this, I will say that it has given me, on more than one occasion over the last...
Wookie, I was asking the OP, but that's good to know.
When I was in Pompano Beach, I was getting it for $150, so OC diving didn't hurt.
Out here in Hawaii, it's about 500. I did 2 OC trimix dives and said screw it... I'm getting a rEvo.
I do enough deep diving to make it well worth...
I certainly understand where you are coming from. I had 2 batteries for the Sierra and often changed them out on the boat.
Once I bought my Magnus, I realized there was enough power in that battery for 3 dives. :-) No changing required.
I know how to kill it. Throw it across the room when the plastic battery locking gizmo doesn't work.
Don't get me wrong, Dive X made some great rides. I started out in a Sierra.
But better mousetraps have since been made. Any scooter that doesn't require the battery be removed every...
I would be careful with these. Whoever is in charge of this site is not being honest with the speeds. If you can show me any of those scooters that can pull a geared diver at 3 MPH or greater, I will trade you my Magnus for it.
I guess you think South Florida is full of decent divers. :-)
I can count on one hand the number of dive buddies I have who are not at least on a Magnus or more more powerful scooter.
I've made the "got lost, scooter ride of shame" to the beach on several occasions there.
One rule I...
Everything above may be true. ... But, I have heard now from two different sources in the area that the dive boat did it's " turn around"' inside the intercostal waterway after going under the drawbridge and then ran fast enough back out the intercostal to get homeowners attention along the ICW...
