Error Low PPo2 cause in OC Rec dive?

At an elevation of 9K your PPO2 will be 0.148 atm. As Tyler mentioned, you need to change the settings using the OC tec mode.

    Don and Doff Gear underwater

Being a little over-weighted helps quite a bit. Sure, it's sort of like cheating, but so is using a weight belt that you don't normally use.

After dive oxygen: shouldn’t the diver decide?

I bring my own oxygen and oxygen blender, so it's purely a personal decision at that point. I have seen a lot of stressed divers that could have benefitted from a few minutes of oxygen had it been readily available. However, I'm not sure it should be handed out like candy or post-dive beers...

    Diving with Sharks

I have done a lot dives with sharks; some planned but most just random encounters. In general, the sharks were mainly curious and sometimes a little playful. In French Polynesia almost every dive is a shark dive. It was fairly normal for sharks to circle us when we entered the water and then...

    500

You need to work a lot harder at reducing your post to dive ratio. You are running at more than a 10:1 ratio of posts to dives, which indicates that you need to spend more time in the water and less time at your keyboard.

Diver missing on Vandenberg - Florida

So, Polaris James shoots to the surface. See, he is right up there floating on his side - no problem. What the heck, let's keep diving - no need to watch and make sure our insta-buddy gets back to the boat. Having two out of three clients is still a winning record.

    Palancar Deep

I think the part you are interested is between 100-130 feet deep. The reef bottoms out somewhere south of 300 feet (my wife preset limit is 328 feet).

    OK to miss Klein Bonaire?

And it takes a lot of dives just to get enough for one seahorse dinner.

    OK to miss Klein Bonaire?

Especially if you have deep diving capabilities and spend some time on the second reef.

    OK to miss Klein Bonaire?

There are more than enough good shore dives on Bonaire to have a great week. I have dove Klein many times and did not find it that spectacular, very nice, but I wouldn't miss it.

    DEP Deniers

They will be regardless of whatever we do to address climate and sea levels. As long as the world continued to overbreed, we are screwed. Move to the mountains and/or buy a large sailboat.

    Log book dinosaur?

I used to use a log book, but it disappeared. So I don't count any dives between 1975 to 2005. Now I just download my dives using the various programs that come with dive computers (e.g., Oceanic, Poseidon, Shearwater, Uemis (yup, I have one that is still alive)). Occasionally I sum up certain...

Cave Training and Etiquette Real or Imaginary?

    Dive buddy's as a woman

I think your husband has a problem. It's not that he goes diving with other people, but the way he treats you. My wife doesn't want anything to do with cave, wreck, ice, rebreather or any other sort of technical diving, so I do that with buddies. However, if we go on a dive vacation, we are...

    Sexism?

Your wife sharing her excess gas with you is a good thing? Where do you fine these women that hump gear? I like females that don't wine as much because it leaves more wine for me. OK, all seriousness aside, I am a sexist pig. I take care of my wife's gear, especially in the morning before a...

I use something like this: I connect the ring at the base of the left handle where it bolts onto the tray. The clip gets attached to a d-ring on my harness.
