Its a 19th century anchor from the bricks wreck. Wilma uncovered it an local divers put it where you now see it. There is another anchor a bit south of the first one but nearly buried. Will try an find photo.
One of Rocios capitains is Rey (last time I checked) and before he joined Rocio was head divemaster on the solmar for MANY years. So if he is along you are in good hands.
Solmar has a new boat and i assume its going to socorro. Looks very nice and they talked about longer trips than the normal 6 to 7 day. Plus they have the most experience of any operator. Link added below
Just a note that currently the beach of Hannan is covered in Sargasso. You can hardly even see the beach. Rather sad to say the least since this was always on the them most magical places on the island.
