Are there any charters run in December?

Hi Wreckers, I am a former resident of NC and am coming back out to visit in mid Dec. I would like to get some diving in and was wondering if anyone knows of operations that run charters in December. Most of the links in the sticky have calendars that are blank or no charters listed in Dec...

    Point Lobos Sat 11-21

12/6 sounds like a good day. Do they allow teams of 3? I should know the answer to that but I'll see if any other reservations are available.

Thanks Brandon. I've been able to control the settings a little better with the new housing. plus the camera helps a ton. My endeavor to become proficient shooting manual is starting to pay off. If you look at the early galleries you can see the improvements over the past year or so.

Kathy, this is the best time for good local vis. I think the fisheye is going to be bolted on for the next couple of months. I have to get my drysuit pressure tested. I have a pinhole leak somewhere and my left leg gets wet after multiple dives-not flooded just very damp.

All this talk of warm water diving really makes me want to get back somewhere warm. I like Monterey and all, but its just sooo easy in nice warm water. I have to find somewhere good to go for a trip in March. PNG, Wakatobi, Thailand.... need to do more research.

Yeah, no gloves! I couldn't believe he went in on the 3rd dive with no gloves. He had them for dives 1 &2. And the 3rd dive was the one with all the nettles! He didn't get stung though. I think he went through his air a little fast though. Kenn, the current was really ripping at the...

Hi, Sat was another great day for diving. We went out on the Double Down. Man, what a fast boat. The 6 of us made it down south of Pt. Lobos to dive on Flintstones, then the Pinnacle of Tremendous Proportion, and finally a stop at Aumentos reef in the bay on the way back home. The...

    Great diving today!

conditions were great this weekend. We dove on Flintstones, The Pinnacle of Tremendous Proportion, and then a quick stop at Aumentos. The current at the surface down to about 40feet was very strong, but at depth 80-90 it was pretty quiet and clear. We had probably 40, 60, and then 25 feet...

    Group diving and photography

good things happen when the group leaves you behind (at least photo wise). I usually end up solo after going down with the group for the same reasons folks listed above. Here is a recent pic from my last trip where I let the group go far ahead and stir things up in another location. I was...

    Canon T1i goes underwater

You are going to really enjoy the camera. I have the 100mm macro and the 15mm fisheye as my primary two lenses. I usually ask the boat captain or DM's(if I'm boat diving) what the conditions look like before putting the ports/lenses on. If its a nice day with clear conditions the wide angle...

man mike you drank some blue cool aid! (joking aside--- I own a halcyon setup too) Brian, go to anywater. I was looking at the oxycheq setup and the DSS stuff, but they gave me a good deal on the halcyon and thats why I ended up with the blue H's. it was a tossup on the actual...

    Question for Local Photographers

if you are really going to get into photography then dont buy things 2x. go for the DSLR. I have lived the pain of buying and upgrading camera gear for the past couple of years. The point and shoot was the worst purchase I had made. Also make sure the strobes you buy can be used in either a...

FS: Diving Concepts Z Flex (L)

I agree. I have had one for the past 2-1/2 years. I bought mine used and put almost 180 dives on it. It still looks like new. Bone dry to this day. These are great suits, but the DC website is terrible.
