Yeah, I've had to miss out on about three keystone trips already so I think I better take my chance now. But I'm up for a local next weekend, Saturday or Sunday.
I think he just meant that Saltery bay is like Vancouver's Porteau Cove in that it's a popular site that caters to divers.
Thanks for the other info though, I had a good time on that trip and hope to get up there again.
A heads up for anyone thinking of heading to Kelvin in the near future - the viz on Sunday was the worst I've seen. We descended into pea soup hoping it would open up at 20 or 30 fsw but got all the way to our planned max depth of 60 fsw and it was still no more than 5' viz. On our second dive...
It's usually best to get to Kelvin early to grab the parking while it lasts but maybe that's less of a concern this time of year and with rain in the forecast. How is 9:00?
Well, Rob got a hold of me this morning and we're heading out to Whytecliff. We're meeting up top to do the cut at around 10:00 if anybody else is interested!
Thanks, but it would have to be morning for me. Got to pick up my wife at the airport around 3:00. And I'm off to bed now, so I'll probably just sleep in and save you all from the naked #100 for a little longer :)
Is anybody up for a couple Vancouver area dives tomorrow (Oct. 17)? After a couple plans fell apart in the last week I'm still sitting at dive number 99 and I want to hit number 100 this weekend!
I'd be interested in carpooling. I'm in South-East Vancouver if that works out for anybody. My little Mazda is also limited to at most two divers and their gear.
Well, it doesn't look like I'm going to get out today, so Tuwanek will only make number 99. Number 100 will be saved for Monday which happens to be the date when we planned to rent gear for my wife and get her into BC waters for the first time. I'd say that timing works out pretty well. :eyebrow:
Hey guys, I'm in. If I can manage to get a dive in tomorrow night then the Tuwanek dives will be number 99 and 100 :)
Speaking of tomorrow (Thursday) is anybody interested?
