Mlagore,
You sound like a perfect candidate for a custom suit. If you shop around you can find some brands that have variants like a "Medium Short" which can help with moderate curves. There are also stretch suits but stretched material will not be as warm and may still be a poor fit. Unless...
There is a certain cachet in pulling off a DIY project even if the financials aren't a dramatic incentive.
I do wonder how unique the internal sealant used is? Is it just aqua seal or a secret sauce?
I see one small blemish between the inlet hole and the o-ring. That looks like some radon residue, Tooth brush it with a little white vinegar and rinse it and it should be like new. Keep a finger tip over the inlet hole.
I also see a ring of residue where the threads begin. Again this wants to...
In the case I suggested which applies to most single dive days there is no need for a time piece. If the specified depth, supply and consumption predetermine the dive to be non deco so dive till you hit turn pressure and come up easy.

jfkral,
Wow, this is a tough room today, I hope you wore your Teflon dive skin!
Going back to get it with a gentle ascent and staying conservative is probably the best advice given your limited context.
However in the interest of thinking this through there are plenty of dives where just...
Negotiate something.... Yours weren't new at the time so there are comparable used cylinders out there though some hunting may be needed. In the name of expediency it may mean paying you cash so you can watch the market. Settling for a current product can also be an option.
This often happens...
Remember that the mail order cylinder will probably arrive with the valve off / zero PSI. By definition this means you will be going to your local shop for a VIP and first fill. Bought there both are probably included in the price. Recognizing that can close the gap and loyalty can often cinch...
Hi SaraR,
I'll echo what the others have said to do what you can to build your experience between now and the trip. Live aboard diving need not be challenging diving but anything you can do to build your routine, skill and comfort will enhance your safety and what you can milk from this...
If you find you need the 5mm suit to be comfortable in the water have some used water bottles filled with tap water. As you gear up when you get warm pour a liter or so down the collar. It will dissipate a lot of trapped body heat and let you get into the water without a heat stroke.

Cleaning and defog are 2 different tasks.
Cleaning is done initially and periodically when the mask accumulates crud or is exposed to oils, make-up, salad dressing or anything like that which will make water bead. A perfectly clean mask has no structure to seed droplets and will work as-is...
Night diving with its limited field of view can set you up for some strange illusions especially if you are in a flat barren area. In any case the existence of a slope can be easy to miss. If you happen to unknowingly ascend along the bottom and don't pick-up on it you can find yourself in an...
Some will have an air hose that they insert to flood or purge the tank with dry scuba air, add the valve and fill. In general dilution is the solution with the fill against the base volume ratio being on the order of 200:1

Cleaning and defogging are two different treatments and both must be done correctly. You can test the mask with cold water as described here. There is no need to be frustrated on your next dive. Unless you are someplace very deep and cold you can probably exhale nasally all you want without...
It's safe to do if done in good form but you could come to regret it.
Effective exhaling will eliminate the risk of a lung expansion injury. As other have explained the percent change per foot is greatest near the surface so you will be repetitively exposing yourself to the greatest hazard. If...
As I mentioned earlier small stature divers or those with other challenges will have different gear handling abilities. Falling off a dive boat and handing gear up afterwards is a world away from a rocky shore entry and exit. There are a lot of puts and takes. What I really want to add is that...
Your thoughts are central to one of scuba technologies limitations. Air is largely a determinant of bottom time and the ratio of bottom time to time invested in a dive day is already a tough nut to swallow for many. This does remind me of a splendid explanation an instructor/shop owner gave when...
There is a fundamental conflict with regard to retaining the weight belt with anything other than its own buckle. Long term teachings say that nothing should inhibit release. Keep in mind that this originated in the pre SPG days when intuition and a J valve (that may be unknowingly been tripped)...
