I've not played with it much, but going from memory I'm fairly certain there's a surface interval option in the planning mode. You can enter a range from now, to x Hours in the future.

I would leave out 'Day' because unless its a night dive, its going to be a day dive. Then you will have space for 'Regular', if you wish. Although I'm not sure what 'Regular' is if its not covered by boat/shore ;)

Me also, but I only use it really to keep dive profiles. I still keep a paper log book as a primary log.

I'm not sure I can understand this - the whole 'easier to read' thing. Why is it easier to read just because the need is in a slightly different place for any given pressure? If their eye sight is so poor that they can't read an SPG, surely they aren't seeing much of the reef either? I'm sure...

Try not putting so much gas in your BCD. If its not quite so full, you will set easier on the surface.

I used to get a little blood in my mask when I first started diving, even with no apparent problems or difficulties on the dive (clearing or otherwise). Never caused me any issue or made me miss any dives. I can't remember the last time I saw any blood now though, its been quite a while.
