Leaking dry zip at closing end

Hi Folks, My drysuit has suddenly started making me wet (for all the wrong reasons), and I've traced the leak back to the end of the zip (where it seals when you close it). I can't immediately see anything wrong in there, but I'm not 100% exactly how this part is supposed to make its seal, so...

    planning 2nd dive on perdix

I've not played with it much, but going from memory I'm fairly certain there's a surface interval option in the planning mode. You can enter a range from now, to x Hours in the future.

Please Comment on this LogBook Page Sample

I would leave out 'Day' because unless its a night dive, its going to be a day dive. Then you will have space for 'Regular', if you wish. Although I'm not sure what 'Regular' is if its not covered by boat/shore ;)

Please Comment on this LogBook Page Sample

Me also, but I only use it really to keep dive profiles. I still keep a paper log book as a primary log.

    500psi

I'm not sure I can understand this - the whole 'easier to read' thing. Why is it easier to read just because the need is in a slightly different place for any given pressure? If their eye sight is so poor that they can't read an SPG, surely they aren't seeing much of the reef either? I'm sure...

    Trying for vertical

Try not putting so much gas in your BCD. If its not quite so full, you will set easier on the surface.

    getting in to Scottish diving

Hello there. Amazing place for diving is Scotland - I think you'll love it! :)

    Was this a 'solo' dive?

You completed the swims (reciprocal and square) on your own, with no buddy within a couple of metres? If so, I'd say yes, you were alone and I'd agree - it probably wasn't 'by the book'.

Does more loaded nitrogen equal higher risk of DCS?

As others have said, if the question is (paraphrasing) 'does more N2 = greater DCS risk', then it is very much context dependant imo. You could have a profile leaving a diver with lots of N2, distributed relatively evenly over a number of compartments. Or maybe you could have something like a...

How did you know you were narked?

I tend to notice an 'excited' feeling in my chest as I start to descend below 40m, and the occasional jungle drums. Other than that, I've never noticed any real impairment - I often ask myself technical and math questions in my head, and I've never seemed to have a problem answering them...

    Ear / Sinus Squeeze

I used to get a little blood in my mask when I first started diving, even with no apparent problems or difficulties on the dive (clearing or otherwise). Never caused me any issue or made me miss any dives. I can't remember the last time I saw any blood now though, its been quite a while.

Does anyone have experience of Otter suits?

I dive an Otter trilam (Brittanic Mk1). Brilliant suit, and customer service from John Womack is second to none. A few of my biddies dive the Brittanic Mk2. Save for a few hundred £ and a telescopic torso, I can't tell the difference between them. One word of note, the material used in the...

    What water sees.

Do you have the numbers for the extra area presented by the inflated wing compared to the jacket? Whilst the wing looks a larger area at first glance, I wouldn't mind betting that although the jacket looks narrow, its area is also quite long, and so the areas may be quite similar. Or at least...

"Riding your Computer Up" vs. "Lite Deco"

If you have chosen GFs, why not just dive to them? Choose the amount of deco time you're willing to do (15 minutes in your example) and dive to that plan. Why have a computer tell you that you're within NDL if you don't believe it? I know you're going to say that it means you can head...

"Riding your Computer Up" vs. "Lite Deco"

I'm not sure I'm getting this... We have some experienced/serious/expert/*insersuperlativehere* recreational divers who are experienced/expert/etcetc enough to know what they're doing whilst manipulating their DCs to get the dives they want. Great. So why do they have to carry a conservative...
