Wow...I had thought that my unlicensed kids are counted in with me, when determining when we've reached limits....
Guess I'll have to get out my rules again...heh
Are you looking for a general consensus? Or do you want to find out the favorite for a given type of diving?
But, my Suunto Vyper and my Suunto Vytec both do the job for most of the diving I've done.
It depends on whether you want the fin you have on order, or don't care and would rather have something else...
I like my Tiger fins, but many folks like splits...
I haven't tried split fins, but may do so in the near term.
:eyebrow:
What error are you getting? If you use too many, you get a note saying so...
When you click on the smilie, a symbol representing the smilie should go into your message...try clicking twice...
You might also try this same note in the support forum...

Rock boots...I love mine.
Mine is a TLS350 though...I can't think of much that would be different, except the possibility that the material surrounding your foot might be different (thickness? durability?) than the material in the TLS350 I use...
I would like to point out that having an AOW cert. does not necessarily mean you are qualified to dive Monestary, just as not having one doesn't mean you aren't qualified.
But, your point about needing to know and understand your limitations as well as how to safely enter and exit the water...
Hi Lionel,
Welcome to SB, and a future welcome to Monterey!
Many folks on the board dive in Monterey...
You may also wish to subscribe to yahoo group ba_diving which has many Monterey divers also.
Let us know when you get here. :)

Were they the newer (6-12 mos ago) pouches? I don't remember mine having inner and outer pouches...
I agree with the backplate being the right way to go...
A transpac and a wing will work fine, especially if you add weight pockets. I started with that setup and decided to switch to the harness and backplate. This takes 5 pounds off your belt, and provides a slightly more streamlined setup.
The weight pouches are quite easy to install and use.
Wow...the prices must have gone way high at Portola in the past six weeks. I was there six weeks ago, in a streetside room, for just over $150. A few weeks before that, I was there, in the same room, for $109.
