    Large Print Recreational Dive Table

;) The real question is why do you need to read the tables underwater? Plan Your Dive, Dive Your Plan. Do you take them to just check if your planning was correct? Do that on the surface. If you are changing the plan in the water using tables more than your eye sight is going. If you...

Good dives for kids in Cozumel?

As a photographer I have had good success with long 40 foot dives on Columbia (or Colombia) Shallows. We would set it up to spend both dives there.

    booties w/ foot pocket fins

The bootie in foot pocket fins question I can help with. I use a neoprene bootie so I don’t get blisters in my full foot fins, but I took my booties to the store and tried on several fins, some don’t fit very well. Sorry I have been to 90 feet but it was to lift an anchor not really free...

Have any of you guys ever shot a real gun underwater, or as shark repellent?

Years ago I banged an abandon wood piling (my dive buddy wouldn’t volunteer) underwater with a 12 gauge bang stick. It hurt my ears a lot (even with a heavy cold water hood) and the kick of the stick shot it out of my hand even holding on tight. It may have been a more pleasant experience...

Salt or Chlorine Generator Pool & Equipment

My pool runs at around 4000 ppm of salt. I run the water through a smaller wading pool then into the main pool over a small water falls. The main pool has next to no chlorine in it as most recombines into salt in the smaller pool. It doesn’t bleach out my gear like the local YMCA so I assume...

Salt or Chlorine Generator Pool & Equipment

I have a salt pool, the salt is put in the pool then a process in the filter cracks the salt into chlorine and sodium, the chlorine kills the bacteria, at the end of the loop the chlorine and sodium reunite and flow back into the pool as salt. The sodium isn’t a byproduct. These filters work...

How Long does it take to get your regulator serviced?

About 1 week, the tech may only do regs 1-2 days per week, or it may go out to another shop as they don't do my brand of regs. It shouldn't be more than 1 week.

    Travel Cancun Airport to Coz

Let’s make a sticky topic for Cancun Airport to Coz. This gets answered every week and some of the best info is buried; who want’s to write it out repeatedly? It’s buried because sometimes it is an answer to a question that’s title is another topic. I just tried to search this forum with the...

    Hood filling with exhailed air

My dry suit hoods have holes in the top, as air venting from a neck seal will accumulate in the top making me a cone head. Some hoods are made with several 1/8inch holes and a piece of neoprene sewn along two sides on the inside, air can escape but water movement is slowed down, these are...

Best most affordable Hoseless Wrist Computer

Buy a vytec without the transmitter (or one of the others that is offered separately) then get the transmitter later. It’s what I did to reduce (spread out) the cost. I do have 4 other wrist computers of various ages and capabilities. I couldn’t just go out and drop $800 on a new computer...

    Where to buy shock cord?

17th and Main in Vancouver, Outdoor Innovations (at 3293 Main street). They have all the D rings, shock cord and webbing you could ever need. They also have an industrial sewing machine on site and will stitch up stuff for you at next to no cost. I have allot of stuff made up there.

Gekko's are bombproof and less expensive than the Vyper. We use them for rentals and they work great. I use a Vytec with and without the AI. I like Suunto products.
