One thing about LCBR - they have strong preference bordering on requirement for 7 night Sat-Sat stays, which might be a problem if thats not what you had in mind. If you book close to your trip and they have space they might allow shorter.
The other AI on Little is Southern Cross Club. We mostly prefer it over LCBR. But both are good.
There are also some condo options. Conch Club has a dive op but no restaurant. Paradise Villas has a restaurant but no dive op, at least not with a boat on site. (Been ages since they ran their own...

No sign yet of dive shop yet but there’s not much on the website. It would be nice if Go West opened a location there.
I think the only thing everyone might agree upon is that there are some things about PADI AOW that don’t quite make sense. Don’t drive yourself crazy looking for the logic here.
Theres the official rules and standards, which not everyone agrees on or applies per the book. And the rules of an...
Yeah a lot of things were destroyed. Don’t recall year and storm but I was in the middle of planning a trip there and it got nailed before I pulled the trigger. Still haven’t made it ;(
Back to the shipping thing. Part of the problem is we’re spoiled by free/cheap shipping from big places like Amazon, Home Depot, warehouse clubs etc that do their own or can negotiate great rates for themselves. And are very good at the whole logistics thing. I often wonder hiw they can can...
Finding a LOB both exciting for you and suitable for your junior diver is a big ask, you may need to make choices you don’t like. If you’re in the US and this trip is about the junior diver, most LOB in the Carribean might be fine. Most don’t deal with much current. It won’t be anywhere near as...
That's a tough one. I don't think I would do the CA 4 in the winter months when odds of making the crossing to Little aren't great. Once upon a time I wouldn' have minded as much as it's at least an easy way of getting in a bunch of dives on Grand more easily than shore based. But the diving on...
Yes, it is a thing. Ever heard of yum yum yellow? 😛
We recently did shark dives from Beqa lagoon resort Fiji. That op definitely cared, didn’t want contrast. That includes the contrast between like a shorty and bare arms or legs. If you didn’t have a wetsuit they were happy with they would loan...
We did the Ocean Hunter 3 but it was like 10 years ago. Were happy with the whole operation. Master cabin was definitely the way to go if you can get one.
A place to hang out by the water, grab lunch, do some dives, rinse gear and self, then have a post dive beverage and nice meal - all without moving anywhere. It doesn’t suck.
Cayman Brac seems closest to what you want, but still nothing like Bonaire or Curacao.
Cayman has a few good shore dive facilities, but IMO mostly good for supplementing boat dives there not the whole deal. And traffic between them can be a nightmare.
I love Little Cayman but I prefer boat...
Its very personal.l you just have to try a few. Some people love those comfobites. I had one years back only because it came on my new reg, and I despised it as did my husband. He likes his moldable mouthpiece. I bought a smaller version but haven’t gotten around to trying it yet. I like those 2...
A low end liveaboard - anything described as camping at sea, cabins with a bunch of bunks - you might need to bring towels or want some supplemental bedding.
Mike Ball isn’t low end and you don’t need to bring stuff like that. Most boats, think floating hotel but with small rooms. (Lots of...
We saw tigers in April.
A note - we did 2 dives. They said the tigers normally hung out further away and wouldn’t get there until the second dive. And that’s exactly how it went on both days we did it. This was from Beqa Lagoon resort.
Find a good Rijsttsfel place. We did it once with just the 2 of is which was good, but its better with a group. We once talked a bunch of people from our dive boat into it.
The ostrich farm is interesting on that last non-dive day, and we liked the restaurant there.
There was no feeding on the one Maldives LOB we did. Given that it’s not legal, I doubt that it is common on LOBs if at all. I get the sense they like their rules there. Ask the specific boat for policy if you are concerned.
Once we were away from the airport area, we saw no other liveaboards...
