I was wondering if anyone has any pockets on the backplate and wing? I don't want weight pockets but I would like to have a pocket on the side of the waist webbing to put a backup light in or to hold any little treasures I find. Any suggestions would be great.

If you don't mind rented gear them rent it. It's much easier to deal with from a travel standpoint. I would buy a regulator because I don't trust rented ones. It's small enough to fit on any bag and you know is service history.

Get it checked out and dive with it. If the shop clears it you are good to go. All my gear I bought was used the first time I got gear. I had it all serviced and it was fine for 2 years.

What material is that.

How are you guys mounting your inflation hoses to your shoulder strap on your BPW. Pictures would be appreciated

Yeah I cant wait to use it. I have dove with one before and it was a great back plate. I have my AOW class next weekend and I plan on using it there. I will report back with how it does.

So just to make sure I have this right. If I weigh 320 total and I am weighted correctly for fresh water I would need to add 8.32 lbs for salt. 320 x .026 = 8.32 then add that to the 320 total of the fresh water weight for a total of 328lbs for salt

I have been diving for about 2 years. I just got all new gear and I want to dial everything in before I go to the ocean. I am going to try and get as close as I can in a pool then be ready to add a little when in the ocean.

So I am sure this has been covered a million times but I have one question. When I an trying to dial in my weights for ocean diving but I am doing it in a pool do I add just 5 lbs to my belt. Everything I have read and hear says add 5lbs from fresh to salt water.

I was just wondering. I just got a webbing weight belt and coated weights. I am changing over to a BPW set up and this is the best for what I will be doing. Thanks for the input everyone.

Do you use a traditional weight belt that you put through the weights or the belt with pockets. Just wondering why for either answer.
