    Where to stash your keys

I really don't like the idea myself, however, with mine you can pry a trim piece off to get at an emergency keyhole. I did say there wasn't a keyhole, more like there isn't an easily accessible one. One thing that is nice is the key fob transmitter battery gets induction charged while in the...

    Where to stash your keys

It's funny you mention this, my old car ('01 Pathfinder) had the transponder key. I went into a highly rated locksmith (only because it was close by) to get a spare key cut. They refused to cut it for me arguing that it wouldn't start the car since it was a transponder key. Yes, but I only want...

New quarry opening this July in Newark Ohio

Thats good to see being done. Just a bit too far away for me though. Hope it attracts lots of divers. --- I am here: http://tapatalk.com/map.php?l5jjjf

Scuba Snobs Guide to Dive Et. Review

I'd like to order it, but for my Kobo. Unfortunately the Kindle version is in a format that only the Kindle will read. Do you offer it in the .epub standard? I checked the Kobo store, and it's not in there.

Tips for putting on a wet wetsuit?

You're not the only one who picked up on that. Me, I picked up on the 5kg size of it, that's a lot for its suggested use. Now I'm off to the local drugstore for a tub of KY, just for the reaction. --- I am here: http://tapatalk.com/map.php?5mhpvt

Custom wetsuit idea: would this work?

I've got the Fourth Element Thermocline, I used it recently on a trip to Cozumel in 80 degree water. I felt fine with it for the week. But I don't think I'd be wanting to use it in cooler waters. I did like it though, easy to put on and the idea of using less lead was nice. --- I am here...

    Where is El Moro?

Last time I was there in February, we walked back to Hotel Cozumel. It sounded like a lot when we started off, but it was a nice night, and there was stuff going on in the square. By the time we got back, it didn't seem too bad at all. I also like the idea of doing a test drive with Google...

    BP Harness rollers

I'd like to know myself, I'd pick one up to give it a try, it just looks slick, nothing more than is needed. I've got an Apeks BP, but I have an Agir-Brokk wing on it. The wing seems really well made, I'd expect the loops to be as well. --- I am here: http://tapatalk.com/map.php?2o5gty

Here's another option Backplate Acc. I'd like to be able to try these out myself.

    divePAL iPad - Nitrox

OK, thanks. Glad it wasn't a problem with my iPad.

    divePAL iPad - Nitrox

I've tried to upgrade my version of DivePAL to the Nitrox (and full) version. But the Buy Nitrox (and Buy Full) buttons don't respond. I'm logged in with my account as I try to do it. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the program.

What spg do you use and do you recommend it?

I have a question regarding the SPG's, why does the gauge go all the way to 5000 PSI? On a standard aluminum tank, that's 2000 more than you need. I have HP100's myself, so now it's 1500 more than needed. Even with overfilling, it's still a large unused part of the dial going to waste. A 4000...

    Suunto D9tx Strap Improvement?

I'm sure you could always program it as mixed gas, with Oxygen comprising 32%, Nitrogen comprising 68%, and Helium 0%. Just the same as how I always dive my D9 in Nitrox mode as 21% Nitrox when using air. Not sure how accurate the TX is for values less than 1%, but 32/68/0 should be just fine.

    Suunto D9tx Strap Improvement?

Not sure if the TX has a better band, it is a different band, but from the sound of it, it has the same problem, 2 different materials making up the strap. Bison Ravi posted some pics earlier in the thread, and mentioned about the links and pins being different materials. With the D9 that seems...

    Suunto D9tx Strap Improvement?

That was happened to mine, but I was still on the boat getting geared up when it just fell off and dropped to the floor. I just kept it in my pocket for the remainder of of that dive trip. The strap got sent off to Suunto when I got back, and a few months later I got it back, no explanation, no...

    Suunto D9tx Strap Improvement?

I wouldn't even bother getting a Suunto replacement for your D9. Just head straight to the Tibby Adapters site that was mentioned earlier. It's a definite improvement over what Suunto offers. And you definitely get the piece of mind knowing what you have will will be on your wrist when you...

    Alternate strap for Suunto D6

The mesh strap does look like it would be a good match. Now I'm wondering about the length while wearing a drysuit. 12" doesn't mean much to me, not sure of the way the strap runs. Either way, I'm in for a black one (D9). But yet the orange also looks good in the picture.

    Alternate strap for Suunto D6

I'm still interested, but it's the D9 that I have. And never mind the pic quality, they look good even coming from a cellphone camera. Looks like something Suunto should have made from the beginning.
