Help please guys... Who else bought their D9 from divetank??

I paid $999.99 for my Suunto D9 with Transmitter but had to wait a heck of a long time for it because of the recall. Negotiated to the final price as compensation for waiting.

divetank.net was pre-selling D-9s for $999.99 US but you can't get that price anymore.

    Suunto D9

Both errors indicate you have no dives on the unit, hence no logs and no data to transfer to your PC. Why are you trying to perform this task?

Cabo Pulmo - Warning about Pepe!

I'm going to be driving down the length of Baja and want to dive Cabo Pulmo. I'm an advanced diver and have read that it is possible to beach dive there - TRUE? Any good? Were the rates at Cabo Pulmo Beach Resort the same as on their website or cheaper when you get there? I plan on just...

Four openings, Socorro Islands Nov. 16-27

Did you do any night dives? The website says no, but Judith's email mentioned it so I'm confused and my big light is extra weight to pack. Thank you

Sea of Cortez San Carlos, Mexico Great diving

Puerto Penasco is nearly at the top of the Sea of Cortez while San Carlos is ~300 miles South. San carlos has nice diving because of the rock structures that even have many arches. It is similar to Baja with seals, octopi, parrot fish, painted lobsters etc. Puerto Penasco is a sandy...

Four openings, Socorro Islands Nov. 16-27

Thank you for the information, I'll be VERY interested in reading your trip report and enjoyed the photos on the Whaler's website. I appreciate your advice and it sounds like most dives were quite shallow. True? The reason I had thought about taking my pony tank was because I talked to...

Mares IRIS and USB converter: Little Help?

Yeah, some dive computer manufacturers think that serial ports are still widely used. This is the main reason that I did not buy a Suunto Mosquito, as my 3+ year old laptop does not have a serial port and I don't want to buy some serial to USB converter.

Four openings, Socorro Islands Nov. 16-27

I'm on the Jan 2005 trip, how was the one in Nov? Were the tank sizes adequate for diving or did you go deep (and should I bring my pony tank?) Thank you for any info or suggestions

The first shipment of Suunto D9

Richard Halley at Divetank said they were clearing customs two weeks ago, but i haven't seen mine yet. I'm skeptical that this is just banter to pacify people who already paid

    mosquito compu......

Absolutely correct, hence the recommendation in the Suunto manual about rinsing in fresh water after every dive. How many owner's have read the manual? (loaded question - hehehe)

Request: US Divers Scan 4 manual or copy

I have owned a Scan 4 for 10 years, 900+ dives and love it - Nice bar graph to show loading, user replaceable batteries and the 12 tissue group modified H algorithm tracks my new Suunto mosquito nearly exactly on the 2 dives I've done with the mosquito. I have the manual and may be able to...

    reason for two computers??

I don't think diving with 2 computers is essential, but given the recent new, low cost products on the market, it sure makes it affordable (compared to years ago). I have owned a US Divers Scan4 (aka Oceanic DataMax Pro) for 10 years/900+ dives and is still going strong (12 tissue group...

Do Nitrox dedicated cylinders need to be O2 cleaned every year?

Let me clarify. The tank was sent for the annual VIP not for cleaning, so the 22-40% VIP vs a VIP valid for above 40% was not to be confused regarding cleaning. By VIP'ing for 22-40% Pacfic Wilderness allows that tank to be used only for pre-mixed Nitrox and NEVER blended by Partial Pressure...

Suunto's new D9 - Air/Nitrox, USB cable, digi Compass, Watch

I just telephoned and the battery in the wrist portion is NOT user changeable. I am waiting to hear if the transmitter battery is user changeable and if the transmitter battery level is indicated on the wrist unit at any time (perhaps @ startup?)

Do Nitrox dedicated cylinders need to be O2 cleaned every year?

I bought 19 cu ft a pony tank 3 years ago and it has always been used for Nitrox, and always Visual plus+ VIP'ed for Nitrox. I just had this year's annual performed at a different store (because I moved), Pacific Wilderness, in San Pedro, CA. When I dropped it off the store attendant asked me...

Suunto's new D9 - Air/Nitrox, USB cable, digi Compass, Watch

Yeah, I know I've had either great or bad out of the San Pedro Pac Wliderness store, so I wouldn't buy a computer like this from them. If there were upgrades, returns, or any difficulty, I just don't know what kind of service to expect. For example, 2 weeks ago I took my Nitrox tank in for...

Scubapro-Uwatec and price gouging on battery replacements

NU2DIVING, Welcome the the discussion board and also to a great hobby! Is it an exceptional price? You might not know this but Instructors, shop owners and dive operators get a Pro-discount on new items (30+%) which are prices well below what us average people can buy at, even at...

    Mares Volo??

Has anyone had problems with the straps? I dive in kelp and my old Mares Avanti get hung up easily. Now it is time to buy new fins and I don't want to give up the great swimming performance I've enjoyed from Mares, but do want to solve the footstrap entangling issue.
