You can get non insulating drysuits that don’t actually keep the heat in. You just add whatever layers of warm clothing underneath as you need to stay warm. I’ve seen divers using these in pretty warm waters.

This is what I do but with the loop bungy you mentioned. Works well for me with my 15L steels. I tried ring bungies briefly but found them to have too much unnecessary hardware. The loop bungy is very simple and uncluttered. I’m not tech though and still figuring sidemount out.

Would it be possible to descend into a cargo hold then make you way into the rear while trying to find your way out?

I think the idea is that the vis is so bad and the design of the wreck leads to divers unknowingly entering it and becoming disoriented.
