I agree 100%. I've been to all three places too and you
probably won't have time to get to the good stuff in
Belize if your ship docks in Belize city. You probably do
have time to snorkel in Belize, however, and it's quite
nice to snorkel the Belize barrier reef.

I did seven tanks with them July 2011. I don't think they were doing rigid timed dives by default. They did try to split up groups based skills and experience but you never know who is showing up on the boat on any given day and they will take anyone who can pay including Discover SCUBA divers...
I didn't partake in the spearfishing myself but I did dive
with Squalo Adventures on Isla Mujeres last Summer. I
was surprised when I found myself diving with a father
and son that were spearfishing. And they really were

Yep. Between peak oil, threat of war, declining purchasing power of the US
dollar, and oil speculators the price of oil is going up. Add in local airline
monopolies gouging customers and the price of tickets are going up. And
to top it off you get crammed into a tiny seat after enduring the TSA...
