Hmmmm. I don't know what sticky stuff he used...
I think the real GoPro mount adhesive is pretty good at being sticky... Had it on surfboards, one on my rebreather case too. It's not going anywhere.
Maybe someone else can reassure you, I don't know for certain.
Love the drawings and feel the struggle!
My friend has slapped one of these on his dslr housing and called it a day:
Any bare spots that could work for you?
Another idea might be mounting on the bottom of the tray? I've seen a guy do that for a Bluewater rig.
Thank you! Each.
Goodness, I'll humbled by the outpouring of freely shared expertise.
I'll continue to digest these articulate and clear replies as my own private reference again after some more sleep.
Warmest regards!

Ok, if you've made it this far and realize it's the tec forum:
I breath-hold on scuba.
A few dozen times per dive for photography (and critter sneaking).
Generally 1.5 to 3 minutes per hold. Normal breathing after 2 recovery breaths if strenuous. Overall SAC lowers. No co2 headache after...
They collect grit and seize... Remove them regularly or accept it's a permanent extension. It's hard on the oring unscrewing them through the grit... But fused together sucks worse which is the alternative I've met with.

Thank you for pointing me in the right direction!
I had narrowed my blanket search down to 225 chips... And now you've helped me narrow it down to 1 industry leader that checks all my boxes. (provided I go ahead with the tiny head that I have currently)
CMT1420...
Good clarification! Unfortunately 20mm diameter. :( (could squeeze in 25mm particularly if I sanded it down)
The upside: weeks of burn time @~500 lm on the current led chip.
Currently running a little 3 led mod:
Would love to leverage the massive battery compartment to go with a brilliant video head.
My search isn't showing anything suitable to squeeze into the 20mm head... any gems I've missed?
In a dream world, I'd like a COB LED with decent light quality. Gin...
I'll option 4... I wash in fresh assembled, store unassembled with fresh lube.
The internal parts shouldn't get wet, the external parts are external so disassembly isn't helpful to wash them. So far so good.
Sorry guys. I messed up the link.
Here's a link to the page I found it on. The viewing settings are public so perhaps it will temporarily work:

Just a little pool play. (no affiliation to the video myself)

For this hypothetical, getting sued is far down my list for risk assessment.
Scuba diving you are taking someone into an environment that can passively kill them.
Before you do this, please consider if you have the skills and experience needed to insure their trust in you is well placed.

I too am enjoying your updates!
After resisting adding advice... Here's something I learned along the way:
Please remember to pace yourself. Diving (and dive training) can be delightful fun. Push too hard and it gets grim quickly. Cave diving is challenging, but can be joyful in all the...
I'll second what the others are saying. Shallow and silt/sand is the worst. Grit works it's way into the oring seat, particularly badly if excessive lube is used.
If the oring isn't nicked, just clean it and you should be good to go. (I use my tongue/lips to feel from imperfections... But that...
In all fairness... Death by file sounds agonizing, might take a long haul flight though.
A couple years back my friend talked his BFK through TSA inspection as a 'dive tool' in his carry on.... The blunt
end somehow convinced the agent...
I don't travel with sharp things.... Regs and lights...
I've had trouble with not sharp objects but also successfully carried on various knives. Seems very arbitrary. If it looks like a razor blade on the scan it can get confiscated even if the blade is enclosed.
When I use to carry a dive knife I would buy a steak knife upon arrivel and snap the...
