Can anyone give me an idea of the water temp the second week of may in curacao? what is the normal suit worn? 3mm, 1mm, full, shorty?
I'm going the second week of may and wanted to get an idea of what kind of suit to get as the dry suit might be a bit much.
I would try going into or calling a torneau (sp?) corner watch store. they are the largest TAG dealers in the US and if anyone has a different band it would be them.
so then it would seem to me if the light didn't have a wet plug, then it would fall outside of the patent? or am I missing something. I have seen alot of HID lights that are hard wired between the can and the head.
to violate the patent, does it have to violate all the specs? or any?
one spec in the patent states
"A lamp assembly according to claim 1, wherein:
said coupling means is a cable with a wet pluggable plug at one end for coupling/uncoupling to/from a battery pack while under water. "

got a set of OMS 85s doubled up. Love the balance of the long slim cylinders instead of the 8" fat 98s. had them for 3 seasons now with no rust. but I also pull the boots after every day of diving and rinse them down and leave them off untill the tanks and boots are dry. I loosened up the bands...
the dive rite nitek (new style like the nitek 3), nitek 3, and nitek HE all have batteries that take about 5 minutes to change. the battery compt is completly seperate from the computer space, so there is no risk of damage to the computer.
I have a 300 bar Sea-Elite on a set of E7-100s. Never had any problems filling to 3500psi. I wouldn't use it till you get it 100%... just cause it comes out now doesn't mean it'll come out at 140' below the surface. I would pull it off and send it back to DS for a replacement. It sounds like it...
20 dives and 6 months old??? I think you got a lemon...
My nitek had 130+ dives and two years on it when I sold it, and it still had 50% battery life left according to the tester at the local DR dealer who checked it.
I would be suprised if uwatec didn't just give you a whole new computer to...
liesurepro has their own warranty that is better then some of the manufacturers warranty. One year with anything you buy from them. And they are a dealer for some items they sell and will still give you their warranty in addition to the factory warranty.
getting the poseidons IP set isn't hard, yes, you just crank down the set screw... however, poseidons are known for having problems holding a steady IP setting.
Any first stage will work as long as you can get the IP high enough without seat problems (the AGAs reccomended IP is somewhere aound...
I have used an AGA for about 8 years with various types of first stages. The only requirement for the first stage to handle the AGA is a high constant flow at any depth. So a balanced reg is the way to go. Any quality balanced piston or diaphragm first stage that has the IP properly adjusted to...
