Mini Trip Report: Isles of Shoals

Why Isles of Shoals? After moving to NH last year, I searched online for interesting diving and came across the Isles of Shoals. The primary interest in going was to see grey seals, which are regularly seen (and interacted with) on dives there. I booked two days of diving, each of which would...

    Dive Master Internship

I will give a +1 for Utila Dive Centre, as that's where I did my Divemaster! I loved my experience there and would definitely return if I wanted to become an instructor.

A Primer to Diving Lake Champlain

Good point @Scuba-74 ; in laying out the facts, I forgot to actually give any kind of review. WDC is lovely and I would highly recommend them to anybody (one of my friends used to work there, so I admit some bias, but still). And damn @Lake Hickory Scuba , that looks awesome!

A Primer to Diving Lake Champlain

When I first looked into scuba diving in Lake Champlain, I found a dearth of information online. So, I just wanted to put down some information here for others who might be searching in the future. Lake Champlain is home to over three hundred wrecks. A handful of these make up the Lake...

travel agencies - padi vs dive the world

@Scubajeg1 I used Divebooker last year for a Guadalupe liveaboard trip. I was very happy with them from start to finish. I booked another liveaboard through them this year. The trip is not until September, but so far the process has been as simple and pleasant as last year.

    Dive Photos that Sell!?

In 2012, I worked for a company on Koh Tao (Thailand) producing videos of Open Water scuba divers. Basically, I (or one of my coworkers) would show up the last morning of an Open Water course, film the two dives, edit into a 20min video in the afternoon, screen it in the evening. At which point...

OW class and diving in Koh Tao, first week of July

+1 for Roctopus and Phoenix, used to work with them and thought they ran good ops. Roctopus is small, Phoenix is mid-sized.

    Shore diving St Croix

+1 for N2theblue, dove with them for a couple days in July 2017 and they were awesome. Highly recommend them.

    Isla Guadalupe with Nautilus Liveaboards?

I scored a 50% off deal last year and went on the Nautilus Under Sea in September 2017. I'd been once before, with a different company. The shark experience was similar (always amazing!), but the boat and crew really stood out in comparison to my prior trip to Guadalupe. Definitely my best...

In case anybody is wondering about Divebooker...

It probably was, but at the time I could only find the special on Divebooker's website. As @Lorenzoid stated, it wasn't any easier than booking directly with boat operators. The point of my original post was basically just to state that they are legitimate.

In case anybody is wondering about Divebooker...

I haven't seen much information on SB about @Divebooker.com , so I figured I would relate my own experiences. I saw a post of theirs this past spring for 50% off Nautilus trips to Isla Guadalupe (for the great white sharks). I couldn't resist that offer, so I went ahead and booked through them...

    Scuba Romances?

That's a great story, @Lorenzoid ! I've definitely been enjoying everybody's contributions to this thread, let's keep it going! Oh, and I'll add that the second date (with the girl I mentioned in my original post) went equally well, definitely more dates in the future... I hope it keeps going...

@Ken Kurtis - Thank you very much! That was the clear, specific explanation I was looking for.
