As far as I know is a certification required for tech diving. (Dan and aquamed)
And you need to stick to the "rules" that re made by Agencys.
Deep air to 40+ is indeed not allowed by all Agencys.. so I am also very interested in DANs response. Usually a ead of 40 should not be exceeded
I recommend the waterproof H1 10mm hood. I tried a lot and it's by far the best hood. I know a lot of people diving it.
Dry gloves are absolutely nice. I wouldnt dive without them. If your core (torso) is cold, get a thicker undergarment, and a better hood.
I don't know the fourth element, but...
C'mon.. it was an example to show, that going shallower doesn't increase the oxygen, as someone said before. And that a mix perfectly fine at depth is not very fine, when going shallower. Exactly what happens when free diver get shallow water blackout.
Don't know what's the problem..
My example is about breath holding/cesa.
Reading all the responses, maybe I didn't write this clear enough.
Of course for a ppo2 of 0.2 at 4atm it's not air. So i's ether a hypoxic mix, or one breath, where oxygen is already used up.
I am a little bit confused about the oxygen part..
Po2 increases as pressure increases.
If you go up the volume of your 1/4 lung will increase. So you might have a half full lung (eg. Going from 30 to 10m), but the po2 is half.
The amount of oxygen is the same! (Minus some oxygen lost, because...
This could be.. Wikipedia says, that they bury themself in sand until only the eyes look out. Which is exactly what my one did.
What I find odd is the color. The arms were nearly transparent. When I got closer it changed color.. but only to a very light grey and back to white. Looked like it...
We are diving in Lanzarote. Today we found this little guy at around 55m. We were on our ascent and had only little time. Got a short video and a good screenshot out of it. And swam away (around 10m) and buried in sand, only eyes looking out. Looked crazy. But we had not Time to make more photos...
They did this without the necessary stops, which the teacher noticed immediately.
Is not correct translated.
Better:
They did this without necessary stops and the instructor got DCs signs immediately
On ccr otu and cns can be a real issue. I would absolutely not lie to the computer!
It's not good practice in rec diving, but 100% a very bad idea in tech diving. If your controller fails and you backup has wrong information about oxygen loading, this could be your last dive.
Hey, didn't write a post in a long time. But I have to give my opinion here:
Kicking up to the next stop is not best practices.
You should practise with the end goal in your mind. If this might be diving deep tech with multiple stages, then kicking up is not gonna work. Stay in trim all the...
Sad, i wonder what happened and why his buddy didnt see it.
But why is elphinestone locked, when a tiger is there? There are spots worldwide, where its possible to dive with tigersharks.
Btw thats the boat i was planning to go to elphinestone in a few weeks
The skill in the DM course has no practical use. Its for taskloading and called stresstest.
The skill in owd is also mostly for taskloading and balance. But its good to know how to remove it in case if entanglement, even when i personally dont see the need for it
If you gonna remove your unit...
I am scared of being scared.
I hate that feeling. I had 2 incidents where i git really scared (darc narc) and i am always scared to get it again. I handled it well and everything was fine. But i am scared of loosing control, or the feeling itself.
Sounds weird, but thats what i fear.. the fear...
