Updating the firmware is likely possible, but as mentioned you'd probably have to return it to Suunto. On a slightly different note, I find 'SuuntoEraser' to be a handy program, especially if you purchased used unit that had a lot of stored dives.

Sounds like DUI's 'ZipSeals'. I have a feeling that it is a patented design, which is why we don't see it on other suits.

Somewhere north of Quadra island I had one 'drift' dive that almost felt like a free-fall. Within the area currents can be 20+ knots, so proper dive planning is as important as making sure your tank valve is open!
