Ahh sorry, misread your post. So best way to have both done is to have 2 cameras at once.

I ended up buying the XShot 2 from Amazon, the adjustable pole. I originally got the Grenade Grip from GoPole but they were out of stock so I got a refund and decided to get something adjustable for now.

So the Hero2 has the capability of doing both at once?

Hmm I thought it was possible to film AND take photos at the same time. Oh well, I'll work it out. Or get a second GoPro, lol.

Thanks for the review. I think I will try my hand with Sundive. I have plenty of time to organise it. Out of interest, did you dive by yourself or did you have a guide? Also, since you are in QLD, do you have a recommendation for a company to dive with in the Gold Coast, we're going there as well?

And the quality is good? How many seconds do you normally set for photos? Do you find it fills up your memory card during a dive or 2? Sorry for so many questions.

My next question was going to be what would be a good setting for it? I was thinking 3 or 5. Also how big are the photos generally? Just wondering how much space they'll take up on my Memory Card.

Would like to take some still shots with my GoPro. I don't have the Hero2 I have the one below it, it still takes HD video (so I guess the one above the 960 or whatever it is). Anyway, is it possible? I went diving the other day and tried to take some stills from iMovie but they don't come out...

I had similar problems when I started my open water course. I could not equalise and I got sea-sick on the boats. Now, I still get a little queasy and I think it is because I normally wear glasses and on the boat I don't since i don't want to lose them. But I have gotten sick with glasses on so...

My gloves I use for diving are way too thick, they're good at keeping my hands warm, but managing buckles or strap if anything went wrong is almost impossible. Does any company make thin, yet warm, gloves that are capable of handling the little stuff (in terms of size) like clips and buckles...

I always would do a safety stop below 10 meters. Thanks for the reply. I thought it was obvious but safety first. :)

I should know the answer to this but I have had a total brain meltdown and can't remember the answer. If, for example, I am diving with a group at around 18 meters and I get separated. I do my look around for a minute and can't find them. Next step is too surface, since I am so far down, should...

That's how I am thinking of going. Once it's attached I don't have to worry about losing it and I can move it in close and into nooks and crannies if need be. May I ask, did you get the Bobber, the one that floats if you drop it or the GoPole which as I understand is basically a stick to attach...
