from known values, you can fill in the unknowns.
Typical batteries for the tekna/mako are 18 to 20ah (20 hr rate) and only 10 to 12 ah (when looking at their 1hr rate.... (the realistic one for this application)
Most rec divers get close to an hour (give or take, depending on conditions)...
as well. Be sure to counter weight the opposite side a bit for balance. I like the Scuba Pro mini spg which I have comming over my left shoulder and it sits by the power inflator where you can see it easily. The top band will likely work best. I like brackets that are cam band independant, but...
And if you're worried about maybe the shoulder strap may come loose of the BP, (It Won't) .. You can add a second belt slide to keep it secure. Ther weight pouches are an "extra" ... You'll have better flexibility if you use the clipper pockets or the auxilliary weight pockets (Dive Rite's...
That's not being made anymore, by a company that's not around anymore, and can't be serviced anymore .......
Maybe if it's cheap enough to be disposable, I could see it. They were kinda neat.

The real question is: "Why is someone who can't yet compute tank volume versus pressure, contemplating doubles!" A single Al100 can get most divers into a real deco nightmare ... I can imagine the potential for disaster with 2.
Al 100's make really lousy doubles ... way to much weight and...
would best describe the SP bc's with Air2...... You don't have to get it, but most LDS's order their stock with it already attatched ..... You'd have to know it's an option and extra cost at that, to demand a bc without it, and at the lower price.
Keep in mind also, that the Air2 uses a...
They require 3300# fills to get the 100cft, so usually you'll end up with 90 and short change.... Just too much weight and clumsyness for so little additional gas.
I'm still wondering what he needs so much gas for, as there's no indication of any deco dive certs. Most any experienced diver...
Talk to Curt at DPV Repair, he's been a huge help gettting mine together.... I had gotten a couple of them in pieces for a case of beer in trade..

and I don't think they even lube the O-Rings that they slide thru. Like I mentioned before, I can't see a reason they they couldn't use 3/16" dia material. In the meantime, it's gloves or puncture wounds to the finger tips.

Still wouldn't trade it though....
That truly has near unanimous agreement .... Manifolded doubles with isolator have too many "pros" and zip for "cons" to bother with independants.
There may be some few divers with specific types of diving scenarios where independants may work well, but that's the exception, not the rule...
relative to cold water reliability (could be argued that they are still trying to get it right) ...While most divers seem satisfied with them, if you ask specifically about free flow problems associated with freezing 1st stages in the Regulators Section, you'll get some Very Well...
That I got a Transplate for my heavier doubles...they use the same harness, and that's what I really liked. Get the weight pockets from LP as well, about half the regular LDS price. Rec wings are a bit more than you need for singles, but they are not unmanageable at all. The transpac has the...
you can imagine, each one passionately believing there setup is best..and for them it may be.
The truth is that there probably is no 1 best rig, there are going to be several that are equally good and whichever you learn or become most comfortable with is fine for you.
You mention bp/wing...
I keep Ean21 in the pony. It makes it easy to always keep it topped off since it bleeds down a bit each dive from being on and tested, and it doesn't impose a MOD limitation regardless of what's in the main tank...... I can see a potential problem with 32% or lower in the main tank and 36% in...
You're usually going to be in Al 80's which tend to be a bit head heavy and if you add on a SS plate and 3 mil wetsuit, you'll usually end up with floating feet. You're still better off, trim flexibility wise, with an Al plate or a semi rigid setup, and a few pounds on a belt to manage trim...
