Ippy, I can feel your pain. If your room isn't clean and well maintained, it is a major downer on your trip. You can only spend so much time underwater, and you will spend more time in your room than you will diving (even if it's just sleeping).

I'm just curious, but where do people in Waikiki do their checkout dives? I'm arranging a dive trip this winter, and I'd like to avoid the new diver zone, or at least be aware of what I'm in for when I get there. Nothing against new divers, but those sites aren't usually known as the best...

I'm officially committed. I've got reservations about 8 miles away at the Island Acres Resort. They have in-room Internet, a major plus for the Mrs who will probably have to check in on work that weekend. Looks like a nice quiet place too. We will be down there Friday and leaving Sunday...
