A few years ago I purchased a Cochrane Gemini for rebreather diving that would hopefully move forward toward tech diving. I have experienced terrible service with my computer (and wors with the ervice department) in the past and here again, after a year or so since Cochrane had my computer for...
Thanks for the responses. Certianly more training and more gear is an answer in a longer term scenario. Shott term I think a slight change in mix and dive profile will get us where we want to be. The Oriskany doesnt have alot to see, IMHO, until you get below 100' so multi level doesnt offer...
When diving a 32% mix using a AL 80 @ 3100 psi diving between 85-115' I get about 22-25 min before I start getting into caution zone on my computer. With a 3 min safety stop I surface with about 1200 -1400 psi.My dive partner usually does a little better than me.we're leaving a good bit of gas...
MY experienced booties have delveloped a tendancy to become un zipped during the dive. Does anyone have an clever ideas that I can use to keep the zipper in place?
Thanks
I am planning a trip to Key Largo on Sept 27. I know that is still a few weeks out but I was wondering if anyone could tell what vis at Spiegel Grove and The Duane has been as of late and if there has been any weather systems there recently that might mess the water up? Last year we were at Key...
Jean:
I did end up cutting a strip from a business card and folding it over once. I'll see how that works. I dive on The Mighty O this weekend, hope my fix works.
I have a DC 1200 and was on a photo taking dive. My DC 1200 malfunctioned, i.e. the battery pack disengages and thus no power. As for taking pictures on the trip I didn't get to take any. The camera's little orange "clip" that holds the battery pack in place is not strong enough or is not...
I am scheduled to go on a live aboard trip to the dry tortugas in a week or so. After the TS Andrea will the visibility be messed up by the time we get there?
Thanks for the update Captain. I have al;ways liked diving the St. Andrews Jetties. I have been away from the aware for 15 years but since my return a couple of years ago I have not had one good dive there so I am anxiouos to break the string of less than good dives.
4 years with DC 800 and 2 years with DC 1200 with no flooding. I did flood a strobe got a prelacement at cost and learned to replace the orings once a year. SUpports has always been marvalous. WIth their great customer service I wish they sold cell phones, did credit cards, satallite tv and auto...
Like a bonehead I took several pictures without a SD card. IS there a way to transfer the files in the camera memory onto the SD card?
I tried plugging the USB cable into the camera but got no response at all. Any help is appreciated.
Doug
I have a Cochran Gemni dive computer that beeps after I turn the air off and bleed the air out of the regulator. What is it and is there a way I can turn this off?
Thanks,
Doug
Being one that is fluent in complaints or critisism when something or someone doesn't perform as advertised I aalso speak up for good performance or service. I have to say my critism of the cochran wireless computer may have been at least slightly incorrect. As it turns out some of the probelms...
An update on the topic but first I want to thank you guys for responding. I was in the Keys (Sombero Reef) and on my first dive I used the DC 1200 auto light adjustment (Camera only, no flash 25ft or less) rather than white board. I noticed two things 1) the pictures still had a greenish tint...
