    WaterProof's 7mm Aries Wetsuit?

Yeah I'm trying to get one through my LDS, who has never before dealt with Waterproof. *Crosses fingers*

    Dive Report: Break Water 12-2-07

Damn you, Mike, and your fancy discernible amount of visibility at Breakwater... Nice pics though, I love the jellies. :coffee:

    714 Dollars Mask

Just can't get over how hardcore the man on the box in the last picture is; I mean, he's shot the damn marlin with no apparent weapon, and has now gone to grab it with nothing more than his mask and candy cane snorkel, meanwhile all he's wearing is a near-man thong! This dude don't need no...

What does "intelligence" or "niceness" have to do with it?

Well when you think about it its perfectly natural to want to "save" certain "cute" animals and not others. As human we are programmed to want to care for things that resemble ourselves, especially baby humans. Dolphins and other whales with their seemingly smiling faces and puppies, cows...

    statistical truth?

I guess thats why they advise you to buy some piece of gear after you get certified (plus the store will get more money, of course) I bought my as of yet unused BC, and even if I never wanted to dive again, which is certainly not the case, the BC and the money I paid for it would definately...

Winter Wetsuit Diving in Monterey Area?

Thanks for all the input, guys! I will definitely bring a big coat and steal one of those dorky ear-covering hats from my friend. Its pink, so the dork factor will become so high that it will have gone full circle and I will just end up looking pretty good. :dork2:

Winter Wetsuit Diving in Monterey Area?

I was hoping to get some diving done on my winter break from school (I decided against trying to dive during school, what with having to rent and return gear via bus and rinsing and drying out the gear in a co-ed communal bathroom...) but am wondering if the water will just be too damn cold for...

    BC's with "Elevator" Lever

That is just such a hilarious image, and I guess I should feel bad because I am one of the noob divers. But oh well, you made my morning :dork2:

    WaterProof's 7mm Aries Wetsuit?

Thanks for all the input, guys! :D These suits sounds awesome, I will try to use the gift-generating power of the holidays to procure one... I have looked through the local shops on that link (thats how I crossed paths with the angry dude...) but I feel like it may be out of date. The angry...

    BC's with "Elevator" Lever

XtReMe! Although its actually an elevator up-and-down controlamajig :D I was taught the feet-first way, and it was incredibly awkward because I didn't even have enough weight on me and was literally pulling myself down the line... "porpoise style" would have seemed a lot easier.

    WaterProof's 7mm Aries Wetsuit?

Yeah, I've heard nothing but good reviews from this wetsuit (albeit I've only found like three opinions) and the brand in general. Now begins the quest to find a friendly store that will stock them... :D

    BC's with "Elevator" Lever

What this thread lacks in direct insults it makes up for in sugar-coated ones... Mike, I'll defend you and the i3. But keep in mind that my defense is very poor because I haven't even used mine. Nonetheless! I shall back you up in the only way I know how: a crappily done photoshop! This...

    Hello from California!

Um, well, I hadn't considered other divers as 'gear' before... But hopefully they will be free, its always a hassle to buy other people around Christmas :D

    WaterProof's 7mm Aries Wetsuit?

I've been looking around for a wetsuit suitable for my local NorCal waters and have recently fallen in love with the Aries Has anyone had experience with Waterproof's wetsuits or perhaps even this suit in particular? Thanks! Oh and for specifically the divers in the Monterey/Santa Cruz/SF...

    BC's with "Elevator" Lever

I bought an i3 back in August and have yet to use it (I still have some dignity, I bought the red trimmed one and not the garish pink); reading all these negative opinions about it was making me nervous, but thank you vixtor! You've given me some faith! The things that appealed to me were the...

    Hello from California!

Thanks! I joined the forum with the hopes of finding other local divers, I have no diver buddies. None of my friends seem to realize the awesomeness of it all...

    Hello from California!

Hi all! I'm a new diver who hasn't had the funds to go diving since certification (which was back in August... *shame*) I got certified in Monterey Bay on day when visibility was about three feet tops and am excited to experience more diving and (hopefully) better conditions.
