Anyone know where I can get the wrist band for my Mares Puck computer? I upgraded to A/I and want the watch band to keep the Puck on my BC as a backup.
I have the Excursion and about 70 dives on it. I love it. It is very comfortable and the cumberbun is barely noticable when I put it on. I am merely a rec diver so I can not speak to the functionality of it for tek diving, but I have been very happy.
Eric.
The piece of mind of owning your own gear to me is priceless. As was stated previously a good travel BC and reg can be had relatively inexpensively with minimal impact on the weight of your baggage. I have drug my gear through mexico, Hondura, and the Bahamas and have no regrets and have had no...
The SS1 is great for my recreational diving, but when working with students having a traditional octopus is handy. It is familiar to them as it is common to the rental gear they typically use. Just like most aspects of diving it is generally your personal preference. I have the safe secong on my...
I too am a fan of Oceanics and just bought an OC1. However, I have been using the Mares puck. Simple, elegant, and has been a wonderful computer. Can't go wrong with this as an entry computer. And you can use it in a console or wrist mount.

Welcome to the group. I too am from NW Ohio. A little town called Gibsonburg to be exact. I escaped though to more temperate weather here in Baton Rouge. Never dove the quarries around there uetm but I do have some family that have. White Star quarry is in my old home town and Gilboa quarry is...
They were off eleuthera island. The dives were with Blackbeards, so they probably are their own sites. If I can't find them I will just try and get them when I go back down this summer.

Does anyone out there have the coordinates for the following dive sites in the bahamas:
Through the hoops
Ike's reef
Cut and run
I was on a Blackbeards cruise last year and these were the names used there, but can't find any reference to them online. Thanks.
Eric
I am going to be there at Alton's on Utila the end of the month for a couple weeks to complete my divemaster cert. From what I came across doing research for the trip I figured there are going to be more people at Utila, but I too wanted to avoid the crowds I expected to see on Roatan.
Eric
Been lurking on the site for awhile, figured it was time to jump in. Been diving about 2 years and have been along the FL panhandle, Cozumel, and a Blackbeards cruise out of Nassau. Next Saturday it is off to Utila for some divemaster training. Lots of information on this site that I used to...
