    Ive caught myself getting excited telling someone about a recent dive, new equipment etc. and had to consciously tone it down for fear of appearing like an egomaniacal diver. I think sometimes we get caught up in our passion and forget how others may interpret it.

    I think this is the key right here. Let’s not confuse the purpose of a “pony” with a true stage bottle. One is included in gas planning, the other is not.

    I would imagine most here would say to go with a Perdix. That’s what I use, and I would not want anything else.

    Logging dives

    It’s whatever you feel comfortable with. Logs are primarily for your own use. Personally, I would log it as one dive if I never left the water.

    I have a Fusion Bullet. It’s quite comfortable and keeps me perfectly dry. I highly recommend it.

    It’s the family squabbles within DUI about how the business should be run that are making people nervous. This is not Microsoft changing out some obscure executive.

    Perdix AI xmitter wrench size

    That’s what’s really weird. 5/8th isn’t even close, yet a 7mm is a touch larger. I even bought a caliper to measure it since it was driving me nuts.

    the doc says it’s a 5/8th, though it’s clearly not. It’s more like a hair under 17mm. Anyone else notice this?

    Is this really OW diving???

    This circles back to the lack of diver preparation in modern day cert courses. We only have ourselves to thank for divers like this. As a community of divers we need to insist that the bar be raised by orgs such as PADI and SDI in their OW courses.

    seawing nova fins

    Interesting. I own these fins and my only two complaints is that they perform poorly in currents and are lacking in frog kick performance. They flex quite a bit, though are easy on the knees.
