Thank you for the rational response regarding bp/w usage. Scubaboard tends to be an echo chamber of bp/w and Perdix advice even when they may not neasessarily be the optimal choice for a particular dive style.
I think an LP85 would be a great choice. With a normal fill, you are guaranteed to get 85 cuft. With a Florida fill, you are looking at almost as much gas as the aforementioned cylinders in a much lighter and smaller package.
Wow, I can’t even imagine that kind of exposure protection in a pool. Must be incredibly uncomfortable. Why not board shorts or a 3mm. Also, fully inflating your bc on the surface by default does not fall within any agency’s teaching standards.
PADI’s AOW process is meant to serve as an introduction to the actually specialties and not meant to be a comprehensive overview of each subject area. In contrast, SDI requires 4 full specialties for their Advanced Diver certification.
