A few of my first shots as well with my S100 in a Recsea housing and no accessories. The shutter button on the housing took a bit to get use to as it is like a hair trigger.

Nice shots Chile, I am setting up similar with the same camera(S100) and strobe(D2000) so your images tell me I've made the right decision. I ordered a Recsea housing and it should be here today then I need to get it wet. Have you decided on which wide angle lense yet?

I recently also have pondered this question of camera choice and I just received my S100 today. I have only had a short time to play with it and it is certainly a great little compact and the video is fantastic.

Hey Dean thanx for the link but it takes me to Optical Sales.com who say the are based in Seattle, US. I did go through the check out process to get a shipping quote and it came up as zero dollars, so don't know what's going on there.

Just checked the price of the Inon UWLH100-28LD + the dome port comes to $1030 aus plus another $125 for the LD mount, wow. Digital Diver have an I-Dive wide angle lens for $499 which is acrylic and you can get a glass version for a couple of hundred more.

Interceptor121 I have been offered the UCL-165 AD and the UWL-105 AD. I believe the UCL-165 will work but the UWL-105 would not. I checked out the UWLH100-28LD prices locally and they're Aus$530 plus another $130 for the 28LD Mount, a bit costly but as quality rises so do costs.

Interceptor121 which Inon lenses are you using with the adapter as I have been offered a couple at very cheap prices along with a D2000 strobe.

Wow it is rather soft, I didn't expect that. Thanks for the run down. I dive with thin gloves in 8 degree C water at the coldest in winter so I might have to go with the Recsea.

Yes, both the review posted above and my local camera shop have confirmed full controls available when using the Patima housing.

Thanks Rob, good to hear about the quality of the Recsea housing. You must have a taken a few shots over the 15 dives and got a bit of a handle on the set up, how did the shots come out? Do you have any lenses for the housing?

Yeah, it is the review on Deepshots that has got me interested in the housing and was wondering if anyone has any experience with them, even if it's not with S100. A heads up on the quality of Patima I guess is what I'm looking for, any problems divers have had and any dealings with the company...

Thanks Rumrunner, Ive read most of the threads on here about the S100 and the camera sounds like it will suit me. I was looking at the Recsea but after reading about the issues it has with trays I'm a bit wary about build quality, IMO something at that end of the price range should be stronger.
