I tend to be cold, so often have a 5mm on (or more). If I'm deeper than 30ft or so, and using steel tanks, I can go to my minimum weight because of the suit compression. Sometimes requires a bit of a duck dive :). If I'm doing a shallow dive, I need another pound or so, because I'm warm but floaty

This past weekend, I wore my 7mm with a 5/3 hood in the springs (68-72F) and was pretty happy. I get cold very easily, so it would depend on your cold tolerance. Also, how active you are during class. I'm usually just floating around looking at wet rocks (well, practicing buoyancy/finning) :wink:

Never mind, I figured it out!!:oops:

I bought an elbow to add to my second stage to see if it helps with some jaw pain. It didn't come with any o-rings. I know the second stage has an o ring where the male LP connector attaches, but shouldn't the elbow fitting have an o ring between it and the LP hose?
