Anyone use the heart rate monitor on their sol ?

No - I'm an SP fan myself own regs and all our fins are SP...... I turn 47 in Feb so close to 50 myself....... I just want to see the output with real actual dives....not the SP marketing stuff..... A bunch of posters said "used on every dive" I am just interested in seeing what that really...

Anyone use the heart rate monitor on their sol ?

rongen - so I get a HR monitor for cardio training........so what have you learned or seen with the Sol during your dives? Does your HR jump when you see something cool? If so by how much and for how long? Does your HR start high and then go low during your dive? What is your resting HR and...

Anyone use the heart rate monitor on their sol ?

Unless you are a combat diver or other highly specialized diver, I have no idea why you would have a significantly elevated heart rate...... After all it is recreational diving........:) M

I just read a thread a remembered that I need a dive light, too

The Dorcy is a great light, I am partial to the Nova: Diving Backup Lights - Dive Gear Express I prefer the push button on/off, not the twist on/off - but thats just me. M

Another frozen fin dive for the books - water was a balmy 41 degrees here in CNY in beautiful Skaneateles Lake. Warm tent and food after dive was great! Seems like we had lots of torn/leaking seals today......:( M

Harness crotch question, weight belt over or under?

All BP/W divers I dive with know wear their weight belts under their crotch straps...... It should also be noted that all of them have their lead distributed in multiple locations, so the belt itself typically only has about 6 to 8 lbs on it. The rest of the lead is combination of: ankle...

    32lb Hog wing dump valves

I was Ice certified last winter......it was a blast, but it does place a lot of stress on your gear and how you use it.... Dive as much as you can and you will be ready........good to see you thinking ahead, I wish I had done the same when I started buying my own gear.....M

Where to go for best chance of shark sighting

Turks and Caicos - sharks on every dive all of them "natural" open water sightings not feedings or from chumming the water..... You fin along the wall and next you notice a shark swimming next and parallel to you, and you have not idea how long it has been there...... Come around a bend a wall...

    32lb Hog wing dump valves

Is 0-24 dives in you profile correct? I would get a bit more experience before jumping into 32-34 degree water, there is a lot going on when the water is that cold....... Are you in a drysuit? M
