After diving mostly tropical waters, its hard to dive in a quarry. As mentioned most have less than ideal qualities. If it wasn't for the quarries I would only dive when I travel, and my skills would not be good as they are. Who wants to practice skills when you are diving a wreck in Hawaii...
Uncle,
The underwater housing does have all the required buttons to operate the ZS3. It is the same housing for the ZS1 but the button that is for movies just doesn't do anything on the ZS1. And since all the buttons are there you can adjust your white balance or anything else you need to...
Thanks for the info. I know right where that dive shop is. We actually stayed in the Tesoro, back before it was the Tesoro, the first time we ever stayed in Cabo. It was a real dump back then.....but we still had fun.
Great pictures. I wish I would have known that stuff was down in the Sea Tiger. I guess I will just have to dive it again. Gonna be out there in July....
I prefer my own regulator but sometimes you have to rent. Being in the military we were on a trip up in alaska. So naturally I brought my snowboard. Things changed and we went down to hawaii for a few days. I didn't bring any dive stuff, but I wasn't NOT going to dive. The dive would have much...
I learned that while looking for a dive site on your own boat, don't lean over the edge while holding your GPS without the lanyard on. You can't dive in fast enough to catch it. Also teach your wife the basics to operating your boat. She knew how to turn it off, but couldn't get it started and...

I don't know how far you want to travel, but Guam has a lot of shore dives with a short swim out to huge reefs or WWII wrecks. Of course they also have boat dives and if you want to dive at Big Navy, thats how you will have to do it unless you are in the military. Another plus to diving Guam is...
Going down to Cabo sometime this year, not sure when. Where is a good place to dive and what is a company to use for a boat dive? I have snokeled all around but haven't dove down there yet.
