    Cool Fish Stories

I remember a dive off the caves South of Tobermory - we were cruising among the large rock sections at about 60' and caught sight of a very large lake trout swimming away from us at about 80' with a lamprey dangling from his side! Very interesting but equally disturbing!

    Coz Advice

You will find that some of the bottled water is distlilled - we got some at Chedruai (the local supermarket on Av. R. Melgar) - across from PLG. We have not had any problems with any of the bottled water and none of our group got sick from the food (at Brisas). One person got a touch of...

    Save Ontario Ship Wreck Society

The work of SOS and similar organizations (POW) is highly commendable. The goal of wreck conservation/preservation is not their only focus. The nautical archaeology programs they carry out (surveys, research, etc.) serves the greater diving public and their education work helps to keep the...

    Dvivng in Cozumel

No argument there, Tim. While waiting for the "dive boats" in Grenada, the operator asked "who wants a drink?". This was before the dives, before noon, and sitting near the bar! Must have been a trick question right? Fortunately for us the diving was incredible. On all 4 trips we were not...

    Dvivng in Cozumel

Check with your cruise line/travel agent/tour operator - often times you can book diving excursions through the ship you are on - this will take some of the worry out of missing the boat (pun intended). If you can pre-book the diving it makes getting your reservation that much easier - and it...

    Good Shore Dives in Cozumel

If you can, spend a day at Chankanaab National Park - south end of the island. MANY little operators that rent tanks, etc. right on the beach. Shore diving is very pleasant and if you head several hundred feet south of the main beach area you can explore the "cave" area where the Tarpon hang...
