    Big tanks in Cozumel?

I'm going to have to respectfully disagree with you on this point. I'm 6" 0", well over 200 lbs. and lead a pretty sedentary lifestyle. While I can't quite keep up with my wife (5' 4", 130 lbs.), I'm pretty close and usually can be within a couple hundred psi of her on any given dive... and...

Are these Dive Shops? Art galleries? Who are the prospective customers? My faves are (in no order): 129 139 104 114 118 The reason I chose those are they are easily recognizable as well as being great shots. I think those could easily speak to a diver and a non-diver alike. That...

Cozumel - Travel Channel - Great Cruises

Out of sheer boredom I watched the Samantha Brown: Great Cruises show on the Travel Channel last night knowing that Cozumel was one of her stops... I'm sure it's not new, but it was new to me. She's on the Freedom of the Seas, supposedly the largest cruise ship in the world, with stops in...

Inon Z-240 strobe for Olympus SP-350

It was one of those dives that I'm sure i will remember for the rest of my life... not much going on but poking around in the grass. LOTS of different critters than you'll see on the reefs. It's very gratifying when you can spot the stuff yourself... that frogfish was just a stroke of luck...

Inon Z-240 strobe for Olympus SP-350

Here's ya go... <--- Link The site is a secret. :crafty: but I can give you a hint: It's very near the caletta. If you can find a dive op that will let you search through the grass for 95 minutes at a time, I'm sure you'll have good luck with the seahorses too. Thanks for the compliments...

Christi needs all of our help

Christi, our thoughts are with you & your dad. Frances has been doing a good job of keeping us updated. Please let us know if you need anything. May I make a suggestion to friends and clients? I think that it would be prudent to avoid clogging Christi's inbox at this time... this (and the...

    Where to stay? w/good snorkeling

Yes, between Caribe Blu and the Lighthouse, literally a few steps past the boat launch. It had just opened when we were there in October and the menu was very limited. Chips, Guacamole, Ceviche and Shrimp & Fish Tacos were all they had. The tacos were almost as good as Camillo's which means they...

    Where to stay? w/good snorkeling

Not trying to talk you out of Park Royal, I hear it's a great place. But... you are not really on the water, you are across the street which isn't such a big deal but your view most of the day will be of the cruise ships. They literally park right out front. Since mstevens brought it up, my...

Police Corruption On The East Side

Read this link - to get a better understanding where the term comes from (if you didn't already know). ...and another Perhaps this quote from the book will shed even more light on the subject... sounds a bit familiar huh? "For some reason, the people I meet in my country are not the same as...

    Where to stay? w/good snorkeling

You've got it all figured out... all by yourself! Caribe Blu would fit the bill nicely, but as you've obviously read Cozumel is not a very good snorkeling/shore diving destination. There are probably some scattered coral heads still around and she can peek into the stingray prison next...

Feliz Cumpleanos a ti, Feliz cumpleanos a tii....

Didn't want to post and bring this back up to the top but since cicopo did... just wanted to add thanks to Ann, Sally, Martha, Sue & Lou. Had a wonderful day with the the wife... very subdued and relaxing. Ha ha, wish I could come down Lou but Mia would divorce me if I went diving without her!

Thank you sweetie!!! I wish I was there too... trust me!!! 30ish temps in Chicago are not helping my already moodie misdemeanor :14: One of these years my wife will treat me right and we can spend my birthday there. Ha ha, In all fairness, my wife works in retail so a vacation in December is...

    Favorite Restaurants

If this is the new place we ate at between Caribe Blu and the lighthouse I will wholeheartedly agree. We ate there a few days after they opened so their menu was quite limited... actually just shrimp & fish tacos. They were every bit as good as Camillo's and they have a MUCH nicer view :D One...

    Mac .ORF raw support

Oly software to download pics and store. Use Photoshop CS2 to do most of my editing... while I am no expert with PS, it's what I am comfortable with. That being said, I have gotten some nice results with just using the Oly software for all my editing.
