I'm pretty sure all bar ditches lead, at some point, into the Paris tunnels. So we should be good to go there!

I know I'm fairly quiet on here, but driving to work this morning I thought of a new scuba sport. Bar Ditch Diving. The bar ditches out in Parker County had at least 4 ft of water, with greater visibility than most area lakes. This could become an annual event similiar to the polar bear...

I grew up in Amarillo, but only went skiing and fishing at Meredith. I'd be interested in what's below. If somebody does dive it, please let us know what you find.

I'm glad Athens went down. It's a nice alternative to CSSP.

I got certified at Balmorhea, and had the same experience. On the last dive, our DM said "Hey, watch this..." (yes, I know, famous last words) and stuck a piece of bread in his BC pocket. It was just as you described, a complete mob.

Is it about 7 hours or so from DFW? I've been there once before, but I lived in Lubbock at the time. I assume you just climb on I-20 and take a nap for awhile.

I got certified while I lived in Lubbock (right before I moved to Ft. Worth) and the only diving I did was at Balmorhea State Park. I think it was about 3 - 4 hrs away. The Blue Hole (never been there either) is about the same distance (I think), but up in NM. Never did try any of the lakes...

I was out there on Saturday, with much the same report. I saw the boat over there, and wondered if it was going to sink. Glad to see they are finding new things to dive on.

I am planning on diving at CSSP on Saturday, but my dive buddy is 50/50 due to allergies. I'm planning on getting there about 10 AM or so. Anybody interested?
