I've only gotten nitrox fills a couple of times, and quite a few air fills. All nitrox was at my friendly neighborhood LDS(my favorite of the 7 within 10 miles of me), the air fills at various shops. I have never been asked for a C-card.

Depends on where you are in Florida. You can do some great snorkeling in the keys(obviously), but, as siikik suggested, if you are anywhere near West Palm Beach, the Blue Heron Bridge is a must, and I always enjoy the Breakers Reef. Outside of that, I defer to those with more knowledge. Have fun!
