I have heard of and seen dive ops (won't name names) that have taken DSDs to 40-60ft in the ocean on their first dive. Safe? Not in my opinion. Will they keep doing it? Sure, until something goes terribly wrong.
Juuuust out of curiosity here....these regs are all the rage on every single thread. I'm curious as to why a normal mouthpiece can't be fitted to these things. People want to replace them under warranty or send them back? For a mouthpiece? Is it THAT proprietary of a mouthpiece or have these...
Sounds like those ops are a bunch of :turd:s
I've never seen an op play scuba police with air pressure to 1000psi and I certainly would love to see their reaction if they asked to see my gauge (which has never happened). Maybe they do that for the people with low SAC rates to match try and...
Well the U.S/Mexico border is strictly guarded and under surveillance and look how well that's working out. Even fences and a river don't impede anyone and that's 1,951 miles compared to that 5,500. The U.S. won't be to worried with Canadians crossing over. Why would you leave free healthcare...
That was my first thought. My second thought was wondering why he bothered in the first place. His origin and destination both allow medical marijuana and from the people I know who live in medically legal states it is really easy to get licensed. Street value drops enormously in places when...
I've written on it, as well as several other people. Use the search function and you can always start here:

Diving is great. I can't comment on the Sandals because I would never stay such a place.
AWESOME!!!! Does your unicorn have a rainbow coming out of it when it flies around too? Sometimes if I get lucky it plops out fresh hamburgers. Those are great days :D
Never heard of a card skimmer? They're neat little devices. They go over where the card is inserted into the machine (these can be used on gas pumps too...anything with a card reader). They look like part of the machine but are actually attachments. You use the card and skimmer scans it. You can...
They're relatively new. Give it a few years and we'll see how the numbers add up. I sure wouldn't buy a regulator that would need to be replaced frequently. I've used the same Mares reg for 11 years and haven't had an issue (and had it serviced once, for fun, and for free). So Hoggy Style is...
HA!!!! It's funny you say that. I used a Mares MR22 1st stage with Abyss 2nd stage. Didn't service it for about the same amount of time, maybe a bit more, and it worked flawlessly the entire time. Had it serviced by our tech just for fun. It was in great condition.
Student issue. Thanks for asking.
They always rinse our gear. Some screw off and forget about dust caps and all the other little intricacies. Any other instructor will tell you the same about students being hard on gear.
Oh Chair Pie I don't listen to anything you have to say after your little hissy fit about moderators. Yeah, I don't carry Hoggy Style. I don't see what's so magical about them and from what I've read here they are easily repaired or thrown away. Seems like everyone is a little carried away by...
