2 different cameras with 2 different primary objectives. If you only have 25 dives or so then stay with the GoPro. You don't need the extra task loading and you will be able to pay attention to lot more stuff.
As one of the other guys has said, it takes a while to learn and be somewhat proficient with the still camera. Shoot the GP7 at 4K or 2.7K and high frame rate. You can find individual frames that come out awesome.The use of a filter (20' - 50') and even a Sola 1200 video/dive light will greatly enhance the quality coming from the GP 7. This is from the GP 7. BTW my GoPro 8 arrived this afternoon just in time for Belize.
