Greetings from Long Beach, CA. We were NAUI certified Scuba Divers in 1972, while in the Navy in Key West.

Got out of the Navy and went inland for the next 40, or so, years. Now we are back on the coast, living on a boat, and want to rekindle our love for the undersea world. So we recently completed out PADI certification: Open Water Divers. We are looking forward to diving around Southern California and Mexico. This forum should be a great resource for us. It's good to be back!

Cameron, yes we plan on diving off our boat. We live aboard this 44' sailboat, so plan on anchoring around the Channel Islands, off California coast, and falling overboard on a regular basis. Thanks for the welcomes from all. Gene

When you started diving again, was it just as awesome as you had remembered? Congrats on your PADI cert.
