As long as you understood that the problem could have reoccurred while you were diving.

I now carry both types of o-rings in my save-a-dive kit. Separated because they look the same visually.

Of course, we were diving shallow (less than 30 feet max, and I think we averaged 20' on that dive) and my buddy and I agreed before the dive that if he saw any leaks that we would end the dive immediately with me breathing off his octo.
