From my take, all these positions at AOP will require a five hour personal commitment 3-4 times a month. The shifts are four hours but you need to get there, dress, undress, etc. Then you got to add traffic from where you are coming from. Long Beach can be tricky even on weekends. I would say that it makes more sense to do like a weekday during the day to avoid rush hour. I am sure that weekends are well staffed and note that weekends do not have night shifts so the available times on those days are morning and early afternoon.
 
I paid to dive at the Aquarium of the Pacific (Scuba Experience) and it was awesome. They treated me great and I really enjoued the experience.
