Thanks all ... I'm beginning to think that teksimple is right. Could be fun to do myself this kind of transformation but it is funnier to dive...

teksimple:
I think there is a much easier way "to transform my draeger ray to a CCR kiss like"

1. Clean up the Draeger real nice. Put a shine on all the parts. Take some flattering digital photos of the unit.
2. List the Draeger Ray on Ebay.
3. Get the cash from the highest bidder.
4. Mix the cash from your Ebay sale with some cash (not too much) from your bank account.
5. Buy a Sport Kiss or a slightly used Classic Kiss.
6. Give your stock of pain reliever to the your friend who decided to convert his Draeger to a CCR the other way.

Finally...
GET KISS CERTIFIED.
GO DIVING.
STAY UNDERWATER LONGER THAN YOUR FRIEND WITH THE HACKED DRAEGER RAY. REJOICE!

(laughing) So where were you when I needed that advice???

Hi All

I'm looking for informations to transform my draeger ray to a CCR kiss like. Has anybody informations regarding this kind of work ?

Thanks a lot

Ron Micjan at TMI shop.com introduced a conversion kit for the Dolphin SCR to CCR at Divetech's Innerspace event in the Cayman Island. He sold 2 kits at the event after the diver tried out his unit. I did not get a chase to try out the unit because there was 6 other CCR's to try out.

I feel sooooooooooooooosorry for you!

Does anybody know the scrubber duration for the Ray, not just the specs but the practical, warm water dive duration? If I remember correctly, I think it was pretty respectable.

My rule is 2 long(ish) dives - 180 minutes max. YMMV.

That seems very reasonable for the size of the unit. What mesh size sorb did you use? This duration of 3hrs seems very competitive with other smallish rbs, and if one did convert it to a passive add CCR, you'd have a one very cheap, light OTS CL CCR.
