I'm currently on a liveaboard in Egypt and this suddenly happened. Already missed a dive. No, sending to Shearwater ATM is not an option. Can anyone help?

Looks like a sensor error. Can you do a hard reset? I'm not sure how. I suspect a hardware failure though, unfortunately

Hey Wheeler, been trying to find a way to do that but no luck. I can find no info at all on this, either from the web in general or Shearwater manual, website, etc.
Also seems to be no way to remove/reinstall the battery.
Huge bummer being on the 2nd day of a 1 week LOB.

Hi @Strombo

Did the computer go out of normal surface mode into the error display? I assume you are not able to exit this screen to turn the computer off, is that correct?

If this is a sensor malfunction, not sure why both depth and temperature errors are displayed unless they are functionally connected.

I hope the boat or a fellow diver has a computer to loan you for the rest of the trip.

I don't know if it will help, but under "system setup", there two reset options, one on the main page and one under "advanced config". The one on the main page mentions it will clear tissues.

Thanks everyone for your input. Just heard from Shearwater, and yes, they are saying the depth sensor has malfunction. It will have to be serviced when I get home. I believe there is a rental on board so not all is lost.
Diving is wonderful, BTW 😉

Yes, it was in normal surface mode when the error just appeared. Everything remained functional, was able to transfer the log info and even did a firmware update, could power off, etc.
