DMs of AquaMarine kept us good distance from it.
LOL.
I have seen on numerous occasions that no one can stop any determined divers from doing stupid things under water eg. touching marine lives no matter how big or small. All the predive advice/warning all fall on dead ears. Human nature.

It’s been a very lucky day to be able to even dive in Nusa Penida that day. We have 3 diving days (10-12 September) in Bali before flying to Ambon for Banda Sea.

We had rains & floods in many places in Bali, including Padangbai. Harbor Master closed Nusa Penida on 10 & 11 September. So we ended up diving in Padangbai & Candi Dasa area (Biaha, Topekong & Mimpang). Then on the 12th @ 7:00 we got the news that they opened Nusa Penida.

We cruised right away to Crystal Bay, got there before 8:00, but the current was too swift and decided to continue to Manta Point. We came back to Crystal Bay for the 2nd dive with low expectation of seeing Mola Mola due to warm water temperature and all of the previous bad weather conditions.

Nice footage Dan, coolest I have dived Crystal Bay was 17c when I was 'rode' a down current, warm to cool very quick.

Mine too in Manta Bay in 2022, but it was at 41m depth where the Mola Mola were being cleaned.
