rEvo on my back as primary and my bailout unit (sidemounted) is one I made myself. Nobody makes a bailout unit that comes close to what I want.
The new sm unit the guy from SumpUk has created looks interesting. Very little info other than his fb page though

Did you try the choptima, before going to your sidemount system as a BOB?

I saw a you tuber, Senor Scuba had that solution before changing the Choptima to a Go. Also a local instructor (here in Perth) also used the chop/revo setup in Bushman's Hole last year. I've contemplated having a crack at it, but am yet to feel comfortable enough with the Chop.

do you use gag straps on both units?

Thanks for the reaading ... what do you think the signal means?
"Ohh **** I dont want to watch you switch to a BOB?"

pretty sure @Dsix36 's sidemount breather is going on a decade old at this point and long predates the Choptima, it's a true sidemount breather, kind of Sidekick-esque, also a choptima+bmccr is a huge profile for cave diving...

The chop makes a great deco rebreather and I've played with it a little bit for this purpose on cave dives.

I did this years before the Choptima came out. I did dive the Chjoptima for several months so I know it would work as a BOB, but still not what I would want for a BOB. My BOB is 100% self contained and can also be handed off to another diver (absolutely nothing shared with my OC tank or primary unit.)

Is your BOB posted anywhere? I am interested to see pictures or more information about it.
