You don’t really need a computer for this.
For sure, it’s not necessary, but I want to wear one anyway.

And your Shearwater won't suffice?
I’m often shoving my hands deep into various types of sediment, which would be hard on a wrist mounted computer.

This is related to what I was going to ask you just before you posted this - what model Shearwater is it? Because if it is something like the wristwatch style Teric I wouldn't want to abuse it doing that kind of digging for relics in a riverbed either.

Some additional questions I had that might help with recommendations - first, what is a "reasonable price" to you, in US$? Also are you just looking to replace your Cobra in an existing console setup, or to purchase a whole new console?

Does any mfg still make a console depth gauge bottom timer any more? I had one 30 years ago. ScubaPro has a digital wrist version.

For the OP my suggestion would to figure out how to clip off your Shearwater so that it is on your BCD shoulder strap. I use a bungie system so could easy use a double ender to clip it off. The SPG compass could still in a console.

I remembered seeing this and fortunately, was able to find it again - don't know if this would help, but here's another option.

If they do I don’t know how I would know, total lack of interest on my part. It seems as though the op is not looking for options

Ahhh, new info. Thanks, makes sense. Which Shearwater do you have? Console mounts are available for some....

Thanks to all who chimed in - I found a good deal on a Zoop. Happy diving to all!
