The tragic case of a man's death, which occurred during a dive organized by a diving club, is being investigated in Gelendzhik. As the press service of the regional department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation reported on August 17, a criminal case has been opened over the incident.

The incident reportedly occurred a day earlier, on August 16. It is preliminarily established that a 26-year-old man died underwater while scuba diving.

A criminal case has been opened over the death of a man while scuba diving (Article 238 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation)," reads the report published in the Telegram channel of the department.

Currently, investigators are clarifying all the circumstances of the tragedy.
