I just cut a slot in the pocket strap only wide enough for the webbing and thread a tri-glide through there. It’s easy, moveable, and once set it won’t go anywhere.
Sounds interesting. Can you provide a photo of what this looks like?
 
Here is a picture. I cut a slot in the pocket loop directly under the tri-glide with a hot knife to run the webbing out and back through. Works great for me.

Very nice.

There are trim pockets with the split built in for those who absolutely refuse to DIY something like this.

I just noticed this one is out of stock. I know I've seen similar relatively inexpensive pockets from another manufacturer, but can't remember which one.
