Some pics of the tight beam available with the ZD 710, useful?? It’s a bit bulky but not nuts like the old days with lights stuffed full of C or D batteries.

Thanks for the replies I ordered the CX3

Good choice! If you keep the battery sealed away as much as possible it should last you a decade or three.

On the subject - you may want to consider a handle for the light to free up your hands.

While Dive Rite sell soft and hard goodman handles with a quick release that cost almost as much as the torch I prefer their simple elastic handmount - it costs around $15. Just make sure you add a bungee wrist loop through the round holes to secure it in position.

Cheers
Rohan.

I like the CX3 and want one but I have the Orca 710 and I got it specifically because it clips to the left side D-ring and stows under a MTB rubber band. The CX3 is just too large and fat for that mission.

Yep, same - it's very convenient to have the lower profile against the webbing. Shame really - since the CX3 appears to have loads of empty unused volume in the barrel and surely could've been designed to be more svelte

You can always use a bungee instead of the inner tube. I prefer it for my CX2, has worked good, never had it slip out in probably 60 dives. I carry it there during the day. On night dives, or if I plan to use it I use a light sock from Oxycheq, I think they are called Raider light socks. Those have worked super well.
