Just use a regular zip tie and your problem will disappear. Replacing a zip tie at rebuild time is hardly a crushing expense.
Indeed, but I use the blister to reduce my plastic waste when possible (not that I’d be the one saving the turtles doing it) not to save a few cents
It proves very effective when finishing a dive trip with BA/156/109, I don’t wanna cut a zip tie every time I store my regs (and the mouthpiece retains some humidity that corrode the chrome/brass lips)

For the regs that have no blister (got more regs than blisters) to use, a zip tie works more than fine

You’re really concerned about throwing away a zip tie every couple of years? You could drink one bottle of water and waste more plastic than you would in a lifetime of servicing a 2nd stage.

My edit was too late 😅

I don’t buy bottled water (unless in dire circumstances); and in Germany (where I’m based) they are recycled at point of sale for re-botteling
But yea, it’s not me (or you or the simple consumer) that’s ruining the planet — just doing my humble contribution not to (stares with dead eyes at BP and Shell)

I collect about 2kg of plastic every trip I did to Dahab from reefs, it really traumatized me since I was young so.. here I’m using blisters (that come with most of the SP regs I buy) 😂

(Sorry I got really triggered there.. sorry for the derailment)
